Art Brushes and Overlays
Art Brushes and Overlays are created from real art medium such as watercolor, pastel and acrylic. These are wonderful for creating designs or using in layer masks for special effects. They are essentials for most digital designers. I create these in my studio, scan them on a professional scanner at high resolutions and then carefully digitally prepare them.

Art Elements In Use
The image below uses Watercolor Spot Brushes and Spatter brushes in the layer mask. (Tut coming, I promise!)
Below, I've used a brush from the Watercolor Spot Brush No.4 for the background of the text. Watercolor brushes are great as design backgrounds! In the image, I used the Watercolor Spot Texture Overlays and the Color Watercolor Spatter.
For a really light and airy feeling for a still life, use a watercolor brush. Remember that you can squish and reshape brushes with the transform tool to fit your design. See This Tut
