These overlays were taken from the back of vintage French photo cabinet cards. Portrait Studios of the day would mount the photos on cards with the studio info on the back. These are transparent in the non-black areas so you can place them over your photos, textures or other craft products. Instructions included on how to easily change these from B&W to color. Further blending can be done with opacity and/or blend modes.
