I love playing around with temporary displays based on the seasons and/or holidays. This week, I created a little display for Easter.
The grasses, twigs and moss were gathered from my yard and collected during dog walks. The Quail eggs come from the weekly market. I decoupaged a plastic egg (on the bird's back) with a vintage book page.
Inside the apothecary jar tucked behind the bird is a printable I created from a vintage postcard postcard. I love this little image! The French postcard sender penned a little story on the front. French to English translation: February 17th, 1901. Sunday. The inconvenience of an usurpation of dwelling: the basket, too little, only shelters three; the fourth finding happily it’s place, and half-hidden behind the lid, Mama surveys her babies. I just love this little image!
