Playing With The July Free Texture

I was inspired to use one of this month's Free Textures to create a photographic floral design.

Monthly Freebies

Besides the fabulous freebies you get when subscribing to our newsletter, you also get monthly freebies. This month, I'm quite loving this watercolor texture I created. I tried it out with chrysanthemums I photographed. (I may do a tutorial for creating the chrysanthemum photo and design.) I also added a touch of a quatrefoil pattern overlay and additional watercolor spatter from The Complete Inspirational Textures and Elements Collection. By the way, if you like this free watercolor texture, that collection has a great watercolor texture collection as well.

I'm playing around with how these might be used in various Surface Pattern Design applications.

I may try making this design into a repeat pattern as well. These upholstered chairs give me an idea of that that might be like.
