I'm Back!

Thursday, I returned from my three week visit to America. While I was there, I ordered a Gelli Plate, which I've been coveting, but can't get in France. I couldn't wait to use it, so I've spent the past two days pulling mono prints. I really like the funky, uneven borders I can build up using this gel plate. I'm still getting the hang of this process, but having a blast.

Let me know what you think of the uneven borders. I am making the textures big enough that you can crop them if desired.

Thanks, Silvia, good to know! The last I spoke to the company, they didn’t have a European distributor, so must be fairly new. I’m really having fun with mine. I wouldn’t mind a smaller one as well.

After I read your comment about Gelli plates I immediately tried to find them in my country (Germany). Well, there aren’t any, but I found the european distributor in UK at this web address:

I order regularly in UK and have never problems because within EU there are no custom formalities and shipping costs much less. The Plates are a bit more expensive than over the Pond, but since they are usable for many prints it still looks affordable.

I love the uneven border, adds mega interest to the design. But then I really like asymmetrical design. And that gelli plate process sounds like fun. Glad you had a wonderful trip to the states.
