Muscari With Grunge Textures

This still life photograph of potted Muscari uses 2 grunge textures and an edge overlay.

I photographed this last year and loved the flowers, the pot, the porcelain set, and the furniture, but my composition felt a bit static. I decided to really push a grunge treatment to get the background working as a part of the composition. I also like the rustic, vintage feel the textures add.

Textures:

Old West and Timeless from the Glorious Grunge Texture Collection.

•  Old West: Blend Mode: Multiply, Opacity: 64%. The texture was desaturated.
• Timeless: Blend Mode: Overlay, Opacity: 100%. The texture was desaturated.

Overlays:

Artistique Edge Overlays  to add a little edge detail.

• Overlay No.6. Used with a solid color clipping mask: Blend Mode: Color Burn, Opacity: 51%.

Vintage French Script No. 2 Overlays:

• Overlay No.6. Used with a solid color clipping mask: Blend Mode: Multiply, Opacity: 41%.
